Ongoing neuronal population activity dynamics in the neocortex - representational drift in experiment and model

Published in Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, 2022

Summary

In my PhD thesis I investigated ongoing neuronal population activity dynamics in the neocortex, with a focus on representational drift. The work combines experimental analysis with computational modeling to elucidate the mechanisms underlying how neural representations change over time in the absence of external stimuli or task demands.

Keywords: neural networks; neuronal population activity; representational drift; visual cortex; computational modeling
